Club Notes
Mon 29th Oct 2018

It was with great sadness that we learned during the week of the sad passing of one of our esteemed members and former senior player, Connor Devlin, Connor was a quiet and proud Rock man who represented the club for many years from youth level up to senior where he wore the Rock jersey with pride and distinction, and surely his proudest moment was in 2007 when he was a member of the senior squad which won the Ulster Junior Championship and went on to reach the All Ireland final in 2008 losing out to Canovee of Cork in Croke Park. A true Gael and a great Tyrone supporter also, a gentleman who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The massive turnout at Connors wake and funeral reflected the high esteem in which Connor and his family are held both in Rock and beyond. Members of our current senior panel and players who had played alongside Connor formed a guard of honour at Connors funeral where his coffin was draped with the club flag. An Charraig Naomh Padraig offer our sincere condolences to Connors wife Emma Louise, daughter Aoife, parents Kevin and Roisin, grandmother Sarah, brother Dane, Dermot and Claire, Siobhan and Cyril, Rosemary and indeed the entire Devlin family circle. May he Rest in Peace.

Well done to Mary Jo Mulholland(solo singing), Leah Quinn, Niamh Lagan, Catriona Clerkin, Catherine Kelly & Rachel Bradley(Ballad Group), and our first ever quiz team(Desmond Gourley, Michael Kelly, Briege Kelly & Catherine Kelly). Our young members continue to do the club proud on the stage as well on the field.
